The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is used to assess English ability in educational, vocational, and immigration settings. The IELTS assesses a person’s ability to communicate in English across four domains: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
The British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and Cambridge English Language Assessment jointly conduct the IELTS in over 1,000 test centres across 140 countries. These test centres oversee the test’s local administration and recruit, train, and monitor IELTS examiners. To find a test, go to the IELTS website.
