Introduction

As the world grows more globalized, the benefits of learning foreign languages are growing exponentially. The studies shown in various job advertisements stressed that being bilingual is much more than just a cool party trick; it may be the most useful ability to have ever existed.

So, a language course is something I’d really like to take in the future.

What this course is?

French is a language I’d want to learn. There are multiple explanations for this. I wish to travel to Europe and France especially, which is my main motivation. My friends who have visited the country gave me a piece of advice that knowing a little French is really necessary if you want to converse with Francophones and enjoy their delicacies.

When you want to learn it?

So, I am hoping to join French classes in Chandigarh after a week or so. Because right now I am too occupied with my personal as well as professional obligations.

Where you can learn it? & Explain why you want to learn it?

With Duolingo’s engaging lessons, I think I can learn French by practicing just five minutes a day. Duolingo courses are scientifically shown to be effective, regardless of whether you’re a novice starting with the fundamentals or looking to practise your reading, writing, and speaking.

Knowing even a little French makes travelling to Paris and all of France much more pleasurable and provides insights into French culture and way of life. When visiting French-speaking countries, knowing French is also a nice thing.

This is the reason why I want to learn/study French through a course.

Describe a course that you want to learn/study you would like to do in the future Follow-up questions

Here are the follow-up questions that may be asked on the IELTS Speaking cue card topic ‘Describe a course that you want to learn/study you would like to do in the future’:

Should schools teach both arts and science?

Yes, science and the arts should be taught in schools. Both subjects are crucial in the classroom. Science and technology make life better for us, but the arts show us how to live it. Science demonstrates truths and explains phenomena. They are interpreted through art. People are made to enjoy life and the pleasures of living through the medium of art. Both should be taught in schools because of this.

or

The arts and sciences are commonly viewed as incompatible with one another. They have always been considered by schools as separate entities.

I think Schools must teach science. Whatever your personal convictions, science needs to be one of the main focuses of any formal education system.

Regarding art, I believe it is beneficial for children up to a certain age, but I firmly believe that high school students shouldn’t be compelled to take it. After a certain age, why would someone who wants to be a doctor or broker need to spend 50 hours in school learning how to shade?

What kinds of courses are useful for university students?

Students at universities can enrol in any course of their choosing. Each course has its own significance. The employment market benefits from some courses, while some are only done for one’s own satisfaction.

So, consider your interests, desired qualifications, and preferred learning methods while selecting a higher education programme.

or

It’s crucial to do your homework to find the courses and subjects that are best for you because there are many options that can lead to new careers.

Many courses are career-focused and work-related, and they prepare students for careers like nursing or accounting. Others are intellectual and cover topics like the social policy that you may not be as acquainted with as French or geography, but which you may have studied in school before.

Because courses with the exact same name might vary greatly, you must look beyond the course title. Before choosing the course to apply for, you should carefully consider the variations between courses in your subject.

Why do some students dislike studying at school?

For a variety of reasons, some students find studying to be boring. First off, they can simply have no interest in learning. Second, the method of instruction could not be effective.

Another significant factor could be the fact that their parents make them study subjects they find boring. For instance, the student might wish to major in maths, but his parents may pressure him to go into arts.

or

Children are typically chatty and restless. Thus, the most prevalent cause of school aversion is a lack of freedom. Students are restricted to a classroom in a school and are required to get permission for practically all of their actions. Additionally, they are required to conduct themselves in accordance with the school’s guidelines.

That’s why some students dislike studying at school.

What school activities are good for schoolchildren?

All extracurricular and curricular activities are beneficial for kids from a holistic perspective. They should engage in academic study, as well as sports, music, arts and other activities so that they never feel bored.

or

Any activity that lets them brainstorm is a good school activity for kids. For example, reading books aloud and engaging kids in storytelling. Writing/sharing compliments boosts a child’s morale.
